Fundación CARRILES LÓPEZ PHILANTHROPIC PURPOSES

Fundación CARRILES LÓPEZ is a private organization with non-profit character whose main general interest purposes are:

• Cultural and educational activities.
• Training activities with a special commitment to the organisation and sponsorship of all kind of high school level, university, individual and doctorate studies, postgraduate courses, Thesis, courses and studies.
• Activities to contribute to the improvement of teaching, study and education, and in general to the carrying out of intellectual activities.
• Charitable activities, humanitarian and charity projects .
• Cultural activities and cultural, taurine and sport events, with special reference to fine arts.
• In general, the contribution to the development and practice of the intellectual activity, the economic development of cities and villages, to secure higher welfare benefits for person and population.

Fundación CARRILES LÓPEZ was founded in Seville in 2006 with its founders´ spirit and vocation of promoting activities related to the intellect and human ingenuity and promoting areas connected to the university education and disseminating those actions that promote the development of art activities, especially those that contribute to the investigation about bullfighting, a deeply-rooted culture in the city where this traditional spectacle was born.

 

Literary awards

Awarding of diverse literary awards; sponsorship of intellect and ingenuity promotion activities and favouring the cultural development of municipalities in Sevilla. Main awards are:

Seville´s International Biennale for contemporary Art

. The group contributed financially to the artistic exhibition for the Seville´s International Biennale for Contemporary Art in its third Edition. This biennale is performed in Sevilla every second year hosting all kind of current artistic disciplines: painting, sculpture, photography, cinema, music, theatre facilities, experimental videos, performances, etc.

Future projects planned by the foundation

Excellence prize for the best student record awarded by School of Economics and Business Administration
of the University of Sevilla

In awarding the prize, the foundation tries to help those students who successfully exceed the last year of degree by obtaining the best student record of the year.

Other sponsorships and patronages

The group plans to assign an annual item for the next few years for aid, grants, subsidies, and signing of collaboration agreements for the promotion of the ingenuity and intellect in all possible manifestations.
